Future Horizons Counseling has been my journey, often arriving at the destination by taking the road less traveled. My goal is to help you through your own journey, knowing you are not alone, to help arrive to your destination with a greater sense of well-being by providing the tools and skills need to get through any transition in life.
Using a holistic approach to therapy, I instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and therapist alike. But in the end, making small changes can lead to a more balanced life.

As a nontraditional learner, I graduated from University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Completing all of my education online, it feels natural to offer online therapy to enhance client well-being, as well as traditional in-office services. I have spent most of my adult life figuring out how to balance the often-unexpected changes that take place in life, from being a single parent working full time in order to pursue my education to being remarried with a blended family and a full-time career. These challenges, changes, and connections will always fluctuate but have allowed me to create meaning and shared experiences with those I work with.
I understand no two individuals are the same, and I tailor our sessions together to address challenges unique to you. We will work together to understand the root cause of your struggles and address those issues with long-lasting strategies, helping you get closer to the life you’ve always wanted.
